1. What is allowed in guild chat?
We ask that members do not use profanity, and are
respectful toward other guild members and keep topics such as race, religion, and
explicit sexual topics outside of guild chat. Before you type something, ask yourself
"could this offend anyone? could this be taken the wrong way?". If you can take the time
to do that you should never have a problem.
2. What must I do to wear the guild tabard?
The only requirements are that your character is at can
afford to buy a tabard. Guild Tabard merchants can be found in the capital cities
throughout the realms, and require you to pay 10 silver for the tabard.
3. Who is the current guild leader?
Gamble, also known to many as Joahan, is leader of those
that dangerously Runs with Scissors. Jaraeth, also known as Jasuuth, is the maintainer of
the guild website.
4. Who can invite others into the guild?
Any member of Officer rank or higher can invite a new member,
Regular members and Initiates cannot invite.
5. How do I get promoted?
Promotions are based on merit, member participation, and
overrall adherence to the Guild Policies.
6. Who should be alerted to problem or issues?
Being a small guild at this point, it may be hard to see an
officer online. However all immediate concerns should be directed toward any available officer.
If a problem still cannot be solved, or no officers are online, send an in-game email to Gamble
or Jasuuth. Please keep all problems you have with other players contained in personal tells
and not in guild chat.
7. What is the guild policy on Power Leveling & Begging?
There are many within the guild that are happy to help out when
they can, and events are regularly scheduled for those types of activities. However, guild chat is
NOT to be used as a channel to beg for power-leveling, or begging at all. If a member of the guild
is willing to hold a powerleveling group, they will use the channel to advertise they are doing so.
As in most situations, begging is not allowed in and out of guild chat. The guild is fully
capable to attending to its members needs, and should that need arise, you may always ask another
member courteously via a tell. If the answer from that person is 'no', do not pursue it further.
Begging of any type is not allowed and strongly discouraged. Again, ask, do not beg.
8. What is the guilds stance on kill stealing & Blizzard
Policies?
The guild honors Blizzard's policies on kill stealing and all
other policies. However, we strongly discourage attacking another players prey or enemy. If
someone is fighting something, leave it alone! If they ask for help, then help by all means. You
may also ask the player if they need help via a /tell, do not just start attacking their prey.
If an officer is issued a valid complaint concerning a guild member, it will be investigated and
if the officer finds that the member in question is in fact responsible, he/she will be warned.
If it happens again, he/she may be removed from the guild. This is of course on the condition that
the other party has not already appealed the offending party to an in-game Game Master, or to
Blizzard staff.
9. When are guild meetings?
Guild meetings are scheduled on the events calendar and are
called "Shears of Mortality". Because this website is updated so frequently, and due to
the nice ability to send mail in-game, guild meetings are not as frequent as they may be in other
guilds and/or games.
10. Where do I send pictures or screenshots?
11. Why do we have to wait until we can become full members of the
guild?
New members of the guild will be automatically put into the
Initiate rank. If the guild members and officers have found the new members to be of guild material,
they will get promoted. If the guild feels that the new member still need to be watched, the new
member may retain the Initiate rank. If the guild feels the new members does not fit into our ideals
we will let that new member go.
The Initiate rank is used to weed out new members that wish to
take advantage of the guild. Such advantages might include: taking some or all items from guild held
properties, and selling the items to make money, begging for gold or power leveling, etc. Most people
of this type are not willing to wait, and as such, we weed out the bad seeds, so to speak.
